Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born November 18, 1985, in Los Angeles. Paul Felix served as an ordinand within Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix's talent for athletics was evident from the moment she was enrolled at Los Angeles Baptist High School. She finished second in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in only 10 weeks, after the first time she tried out. Felix graduated from high school and signed an official contract to Adidas. In the year 2004, she began her studies at the University of Southern California, in the area of elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic gold at the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record of running the 200m in 22.18. In 2005, at the Helsinki World Championships, Felix was the youngest world champion in running 200m. In 2007, she defended the title against her Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix took part in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and was consistently within the top three athletes in her respective events.
